Radical Red 4.0 AI Guide / Changelog:
1. AI no longer clicks on Infinite Accuracy move that could kill the player’s low HP mon, incase the player switches out.
2. A mon with “Defog” or “Rapid Spin” no longer prevents the AI from using entry hazards (Stealth Rock, Spikes and Toxic Spikes).
3. A mon with “Haze” or “Roar” no longer prevents the AI from setting up (Dragon Dance, Swords Dance. ).
4. Using the move “Yawn” no longer makes the AI switch everytime, it’s apparently 50% chance now.
5. AI will still select random move if the player is immune to most damaging move.
6. AI now understands how Thousand Arrows and Mald Breaker and Unburden works.
7. Random AI has been implemented by soupercell to prevent the player from PP stalling, the Random AI only activates after switching atleast 4 times. Once the AI switches to another mon, the counter for the Random AI goes back to 0.
8. AI knows the berry or item that the player’s mon is holding and the moves of the player’s mon that is out on battle.
9. Putting -2 on the AI mon’s offensive stat will make it want to switch. Pairing this exploit with Arbok’s Glare for example can be really abusable. Also by making the AI switch, the counter for the Random AI would always go back to 0 so you’re never in risk of activating it. (Probably going to be fixed by soupercell).
10. Having a Resist Berry makes the AI never go for the Super Effective move unless it still does the most damage out of the 4, if the AI has a setup move, it will setup.
11. Having 4 moves that do very little damage to the AI, makes the AI sets up (SO2Runan).
12. If the player’s mon outspeeds and has a move that can OH-KO the AI mon, the AI would always go for priority move. If both mons have the same speed stat, the AI would still go for priority move.
13. AI will still want to setup Calm Mind for example after having its Special Atk or Special Def reduced, same goes for the other set up moves if the AI has them.
Radical Red 4.0 AI Switch Mechanics Guide:
If you didn’t know, Radical Red AI uses this list to decide which mon it’s going to switch into after losing a mon and before losing a mon. We can call it the basics/standard list as it just doesn’t cover everything about the AI Switch Mechanics.
Here is the summarized version of the list:
If AI mon can kill = +4
If AI mon can resist all moves = +4
If AI mon can Revenge Kill = +2
(All makes the highest score of +10!)
If AI mon hits Super-Effective on you = +1
(Only counts if SE move is NOT an OH-KO!)
If AI mon is weak to one of your move (you have Super-Effective move on AI) = -1

If the AI outspeeds your mon, that’s a score of +14.
If the AI can wall your mon, that’s a score of +2.
If the AI is weak to one of your moves (meaning a 2 HIT-KO move), that’s a score of -1.
Also, the score obviously can’t go below 0.
Lastly, if the AI gets OH-KO’ed by one of your moves, that’s a score of -14 at least. We are not sure at all for the exact score.
